Civic Trust South East (CTSE) was established by the Civic Trust in response to regional government's increasing influence in all planning matters.
- CTSE is a focal point for all civic societies within the South East Region.
- CTSE studies and reacts to policy decisions coming from the South East Regional Assembly (SEERA) and from the Government of the South East (GoSE).
- CTSE maintains extensive links with other amenity and environmental groups.
- CTSE wants to moderate intensive development of the South East Region.
- CTSE wishes to protect the countryside from urban sprawl and to resist erosion of the green belt.
- CTSE has made representation on the government’s consultation about the siting of a third airport.
- CTSE is against disposal of surplus Ministry of Defence property for purely commercial gain: it wants the local public interest and benefit to be taken into account.

The CTSE re-launched this website in September 2008. In addition to providing an overview of the society and its activities, along with a digital archive for previous CTSE newsletters and Viewpoint documents, the revamped site will be the central point for updates on news and events.
